Hot Potato

So today, as I was strolling into our pantry there was a stench creeping out to say hello to me.  Then I told Emily and Jenny about it, but the stench did not come out to say hello.  Ashtyn and Julia came home, and Ashtyn could smell the stench.  Ashtyn said, "Ulch! What is that smell??"  Emily then said, "You know, potatoes smell really bad when they are rotting."  I was trying to think about if I had any potatoes and I remembered that I did have some.  Even though I had some, I thought they wouldn't be rotten because they weren't even a week old.  WRONG!  I had some potatoes in a bag and they were rotten!  I picked up the bag, while Jenny was standing right there, and the juices began to ooze out.  Oh man, was it DISGUSTING!  There was potato juice all over the floor and our whole apartment smelled of rotten potatoes.  Don't you be worried though!  I sprayed bleach and said that they were mine, so it is OK.
What do we learn from this lesson??  Well, I learned that keeping potatoes in a tied plastic bag in the pantry isn't such a grand idea.  I will keep my potatoes out where they can receive ventilation and in a cool place.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful night!
Until next time,
Anna!

BLOG!

Ok, so I know that I haven't written a blog in a LONG time, and Jenny let me know that by kindly talking through the wall at me to "write a blog, Anna."  I have decided to write one :)

This is my third semester at BYU-Idaho and I am enjoying it quite a bit.  I like all of my roommates this semester, they are all wonderful!  We get to sometimes sit all together and just chat, I love that!  My classes are going pretty well, although I'm not really liking my statistics class, it's not my favorite, to say the least.  The weather has been so wonderful up until this weekend.  This weekend, it started snowing and got colder.  The first couple of weeks of snow isn't that bad, but later, I won't be liking it!  ANYWAYS........I will be posting future blogs!  I know I haven't been very good at updating my blog, and I will work on posting a lot more frequent than recently (Jenny is the cause of this!)
I hope that everyone sleeps well and has a wonderful day!

Love,
Anna

Week 3

I am nearing the end of my third week of school at BYU Idaho.  This semester is quite a bit different than last semester, it seems more difficult.  I pretty much enjoy all of the classes I'm in.  Mondays and Wednesdays I have a pretty busy schedule, but I seem to be managing :)  I finally got into the University Band and the Saxophone Ensemble.  They are quite enjoyable.  The University Band is fun, the teacher is super cool and funny.  The only thing is that we are playing pretty easy music right now and I can sight read them and they sound not too bad.
I have been trying really hard to keep my room clean.  So far, I have succeeded :) Most of my roommates are nice with an exception of one or two.....  We only have four in our apartment and it's pretty nice to have the extra space.  Arlene is one of my roommates and we are able to be friends!  We go work out almost every night.  We are also trying to eat healthy :)  The weather right now is really weird!  It was sunny yesterday, but it was almost colder than without the sun, WHO KNEW!  The day before yesterday, a bunch of the snow melted and now that it's back to being cold now, there's ice!!  I slipped so many times going to school and my apartment!  Luckily I didn't fall :) My new North Face jacket keeps me so warm!! I can just wear it and I don't really get cold.  Thanks Mom and Dad!! :)  Also, my new backpack really helps, my back isn't hurting as much and I can keep everything in there :) Thanks Oliver!!
I recently received a calling in our ward, I'm the 2nd Sunday teacher for Relief Society :S  It turns out that the girl that's supposed to teach this Sunday will be gone, so I have to do it :( I'm very scared to do it!! I haven't really taught a real lesson, I suppose it will be ok though.  Several people have told me that they can help me if I need it so......  This semester I don't have to walk to church :) Arlene drives all of our apartment, it's very nice!  I don't always have to wear boots!  Well, I need to do some homework before we go work out, so I will try to keep y'all updated :)  I hope you all have a good night :)
